The Vietnam War
At Home and Abroad
Presented at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall on March 24, 2018, The Vietnam War: At Home and Abroad, explores aspects of and reactions to the Vietnam War. A collection of zippo lighters engraved with messages by troops "in country," brought home many personal stories. Music, coupled with extraordinary photographs and film footage reflecting the complex times, include pieces from Pete Seeger to Woodstock. The lecture was presented as part of a New York City-wide festival, The '60s: The Years that Changed America, curated by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Robert Caro, which become one of Carnegie Hall's largest festivals ever.
